Wife, mother and Irish laywoman, Margarita Ball clandestinely supported Catholic life in Dublin during religious persecution.
Biography
He opened his house to priests, to the celebration of Mass and to catechesis. When one of his own sons became mayor and embraced Anglicanism, he ordered her arrest for refusing to abandon the faith. Elderly and sick, she remained imprisoned in inhumane conditions until she died, forgiving the one who had betrayed her.
