Margaret of Hungary (1242–1270)

Hungarian princess and Dominican nun, Margaret was offered to God by her parents during the Mongol invasion.
Biography
Since she was a child she lived in the monastery of Hare Island, where she professed freely and rejected political marriages. She distinguished herself by prayer, poverty, service to the sisters and care for the sick, without claiming privileges due to her royal origin. Her intense devotion to the Passion and the Eucharist made her one of the great medieval spiritual figures of Hungary. He died at the age of twenty-eight.
