Margaret Flesch (1826–1906)
Franciscan nun
Orphaned and responsible for her siblings from a young age, Margarita Flesch experienced poverty personally and worked as a day laborer, herb collector, and craftsman.
Biography
She settled with her sister near a chapel to care for the sick and orphans, and founded the Franciscan Sisters of the Blessed Virgin Mary of the Angels. He built homes and hospitals trusting in Providence and austere work. After governing the community, she accepted to live for many years relegated and misunderstood within her own work. He kept the peace and continued serving without claiming honors.
