Maria Adeodata Pisani (1806–1855)
Benedictine Abbess
Born in Naples and later raised in Malta, Maria Adeodata Pisani entered the Benedictine monastery of Saint Peter.
Biography
There she performed almost all the community duties, especially those of sacristan and nurse, which allowed her to directly serve God and her sisters. He also taught young people, catechized the poor and lived austerely. Without seeking responsibilities, she was elected abbess and guided the community with prudence. His contemplative life produced a simple, constant and concrete charity.
