María Antonia Bandrés y Elósegui (1898–1919)

A young Basque woman from a large family, María Antonia Bandrés—Antonita—grew up in fragile health and with great sensitivity towards the poor and working class.
Biography
Before entering religious life, she collaborated in social and evangelization works that were unusual for a girl from her environment. She joined the Daughters of Jesus and professed her vows in 1918. An incurable illness soon consumed her strength, but she maintained serenity, gratitude, and attention to those who cared for her. He died at the age of twenty-one after a brief life dedicated to sharing, loving and serving.
