Biography
Founder of the Congregation of the Franciscan Missionary Sisters of Mary Help of Christians. He was born in the Swiss canton of Aargau, and died in Cartagena, Colombia. He cultivated a life of piety from childhood, dedicated to work in the fields. He entered a capuchin monastery where he remained for twenty-one years. In 1888 she left for Ecuador with a group of six nuns. In 1895 he had to take refuge in Colombia, where he founded his congregation. She was beatified on October 29, 1995.
