An Italian barefoot Carmelite, Mary Candida of the Eucharist lived an exceptional union with Christ present in the Sacrament.
Biography
Her family opposed her vocation for almost twenty years, but she persevered until entering the Carmel of Ragusa in 1919. She was prioress and formator, and wrote a spiritual work on the Eucharist as the center of Christian life and a path to interior transformation. He united his Eucharistic love with a tender devotion to the Virgin Mary.
