Biography
Augustine dedicated her youth to caring for the sick in Quebec. She joined the Hospitallers of Mercy of Jesus at a very young age and, at the age of sixteen, she crossed the Atlantic to serve at the Hôtel-Dieu. He learned the languages and customs of the place, attended to epidemics and carried out the most humble jobs with patience. His intense interior life, nourished by the Eucharist and devotion to Mary, sustained a charity that held nothing back.
