A Spanish nun of the Company of the Cross, María de la Purísima made the most humble services an encounter with Christ in the poor.
Biography
Born in Madrid, she experienced displacement and insecurity during the Civil War. At the age of eighteen he joined the congregation founded by Saint Angela of the Cross, dedicated to caring for the sick and needy families in their homes. She was novice teacher, superior and mother general for more than twenty years. He governed with simplicity, prudence and fidelity to the charisma, while continuing to visit the poor and perform ordinary tasks. Their joy showed that in the house of God no service is small.
