A Spanish nun of the Servants of Mary Ministers of the Sick, María del Desposorio Irigoyen was known as a loving mother and tireless nurse.
Biography
Before joining the congregation, he cared for his sick relatives for years and helped the poor of Pamplona. He professed in 1883 and cared for the sick in their own homes, especially during epidemics of cholera and other contagious diseases. Without neglecting the body, he sought spiritual consolation and brought the sacraments closer to those who were in danger. Eucharistic adoration nourished a serene dedication that continued even when the deterioration of his health limited his strength.
