Maria Dominica Brun Barbantini (1789–1868)

Religious, founder of the Congregation of Sisters Ministers of the Sick of San Camilo.
Biography
She was born in Luca, Italy, and in 1811 she married Juan Barbantini who died suddenly a few months later. María Dominica gave herself to works of apostolate and assistance to the sick. In 1819 she founded an Association of Sisters of Charity that was like the seed of her congregation.
