Neapolitan barefoot Carmelite born Josefina Catanea, María Josefina de Jesús Crucificado suffered from tuberculosis of the spine and was paralyzed for years.
Biography
He experienced the illness as a gift for the Church and the priests, and after a cure attributed to Saint Francis Xavier he began to receive numerous people who sought comfort and guidance. Later he became seriously ill again and accepted the limitation without losing hope. As prioress she led her community with kindness and prudence, making her cell a place of listening for people of all conditions.
