Mary Margaret of Youville (1701–1771)

She married a gentle, unfaithful man from whom she had, in eight years, six children.
Biography
She was widowed at the age of twenty-nine and had to face the debts left by her husband. She later founded in Montreal, for the sick, the prosperous Congregation of the Sisters of Charity, who are called “gray sisters.” Margarita is the first woman born in Canada to be elevated to the altars.
