Biography
Carmelite nun and founder of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, María Teresa de Jesús Scrilli dedicated her vocation to educating girls. A childhood marked by a lack of affection and a long illness prompted her to fully seek God. After a brief experience in Carmel, he understood that he had to open a small school in his home. From that service was born a congregation dedicated to human and Christian formation. Civil suppressions dispersed the work, but it persevered in poverty and obedience until seeing it reborn, docile as wax in the hands of God.
