Matthew, Apostle and Evangelist

Biography

He was called by Jesus to follow him while he was collecting taxes. And he left everything. Moved by the immense joy that comes from the delivery, he gave a banquet to his friends and colleagues, eager for them to see and talk to Jesus. He enjoyed esteem, despite the terrible opinion that the office of publican, tax collector, had among the Jews. Years later he probably evangelized Abyssinia and Persia. The place, circumstances and date of his martyrdom are not clear. Let's take advantage of meals to talk about God to friends.
