Mayolo (10th century)
Bishop
He was bishop of Cluny in France for nearly thirty years.
Biography
He reformed numerous abbeys of his congregation and his influence extended to the universal Church. He was a friend of King Hugo Capet and the emperors Otto I and Otto II. She hid when the latter wanted to give her the tiara, upon the death of Benedict VI who had been killed. Mayolo died traveling to Souvigny at the age of eighty.
