Biography
He was born in Guadalupe, Zacatecas (Mexico), in 1891. At the age of 20 he entered the Society of Jesus. The pain he suffered all his life never made him lose his joy and good humor. Ordained a priest in Belgium in 1925, he returned to Mexico in 1926, where he secretly exercised his priestly ministry, with great fervor and love for the poor. Apprehended by the police and falsely accused, he was shot on November 23, 1927. His Holiness John Paul II beatified him on September 25, 1988.
