Miguel Sopoćko (1888–1975)
Priest
Polish priest, professor and spiritual director, Miguel Sopoćko was confessor of Saint Faustina Kowalska.
Biography
He prudently discerned his experiences, asked him to write the Diary and promoted the image and devotion to Divine Mercy. During the war he helped Jews and lived in hiding to avoid arrest. Later he suffered misunderstandings and restrictions regarding devotion, but he persevered with obedience until seeing his later recognition. His service united theological study, pastoral prudence and tireless trust in God's mercy.
