Narcisa de Jesús Martillo Morán (1832–1869)

An Ecuadorian laywoman and woman with an intense contemplative life, Narcisa de Jesús sanctified ordinary work through prayer, penance and service.
Biography
Orphaned at a young age, she learned sewing and other tasks with which she supported herself and helped her family. She made a private vow of virginity and organized her day around the Eucharist, confession and long times of recollection, without formally belonging to a congregation. He sought to imitate Saint Mariana de Jesús by offering sacrifices for sinners. He died in Lima inside a Dominican house, retaining a reputation for humility and joy.
