Nicholas Bunkerd Kitbamrung (1895–1944)

Thai priest and martyr, Nicholas Bunkerd Kitbamrung evangelized remote villages, sought out those who had distanced themselves from the Church and cared for the poor with special charity.
Biography
During an anti-Catholic persecution he was falsely accused of espionage and imprisoned. In prison he forgave his accusers, taught catechism, administered the sacraments and supported his companions. His guardians deliberately sent him to the tuberculosis ward; He contracted the disease and died without medical attention on January 12, 1944.
