Capuchin brother from Sardinia, Nicholas of Gesturi evangelized above all through silence, humility and listening.
Biography
For thirty-four years he walked the streets begging for alms for the convent and meeting people from all walks of life. Many came to him seeking comfort because his serene presence reflected prayer and kindness, even though he spoke few words. People affectionately called him “Fray Silencio.”
Practical advice
Today, keep a few minutes of silence before God and then listen to someone without interrupting them.
