Nicholas of Tolentino (1245–1305)
Augustinian religious
Born in Fermo, Italy, he received this name because of his parents' devotion to Saint Nicholas of Bari.
Biography
She belonged to the order of Saint Augustine and lived most of her life in a convent in Tolentino, not far from her hometown. This saint was popular for the great miracles and prodigies that were wrought during his life. He was also known as an advocate of the souls in Purgatory, due to a terrible vision he had where they asked him for suffrages. However, something very important, although not so striking about his life, is that he was a very merciful confessor, who reserved severity and mistreatment for himself, disciplining himself and fasting almost constantly, and he treated penitents with great benevolence.
Practical advice
Whenever you have the opportunity, call someone who is sick, elderly, or lonely as someone who works and pray under the loving gaze of God.
