Nicholas Gross (1898–1945)

Worker, journalist, husband and father of seven children, Nicolás Gross was a Catholic voice against Nazism in Germany.
Biography
Trained in the Christian labor movement, he denounced in his writings the ideology that denied human dignity and destroyed religious freedom. He participated in resistance circles, aware of the risk he was running. Arrested after the attack on Hitler, he was convicted without sufficient evidence and hanged in Berlin on January 23, 1945. He faced death supported by prayer and love for his family.
