Archpriest of Sondrio and martyr, Nicolás Rusca defended the Catholic faith with firmness and moderation in a region marked by serious religious conflicts.
Biography
Formed in Milan under the pastoral impulse of Saint Charles Borromeo, he devoted almost thirty years to preaching, catechesis and the renewal of his community. He respected those who thought differently and distinguished the error of the person. In 1618 he was kidnapped, subjected to a partial trial and tortured to extract a false confession. He died during the torments, without abandoning the truth or responding with hatred.

Correct a wrong idea today without attacking the person: speak clearly, respectfully and with charity.
