Biography
In fact, the largest mosque in Tunisia was also known as “the Oliva mosque”. Oliva was reportedly a thirteen-year-old Christian girl who was kidnapped from her home in Palermo by Tunisian pirates. The Moors planned to kill her, but they regretted it when they found out that the girl had royal blood. Olivia had the gift of curing the illnesses of those who turned to her. They took her to a forest in the hope that wild beasts would devour her, but Olivia became friends with all the animals. He also converted the hunters he found there to Christianity. They returned her to Tunisia to kill her but she always managed to convert her executioners, upon seeing the terrible tortures that she suffered with integrity and from which she emerged unscathed. Finally they cut off his head, and it is said that his soul was seen ascending to heaven in the form of a white dove.
