Osanna
Dominican nun
(1449-1505) She spent her entire life secluded in her palace between terrible sufferings and extraordinary graces, both invisible to the eyes of men.
Biography
Her confessor revealed after her death that inner wounds were opening in Osanna that were renewing the pains of the Passion in her body. He entered the Dominican Order as a tertiary and spent the last thirty-seven years of his life at the court of Mantua, where he was superintendent of the palace of Duke Francisco II and his wife Isabel de Este. They soon realized that they had a saint under their roof and at the hour of her death they knelt before her asking for her blessing. Duchess Isabel commissioned a beautiful mausoleum that can be visited today in the Mantua Cathedral.
