Pacific of San Severino (1653–1721)
Franciscan priest
An Italian Franciscan, preacher and confessor, Pacifico of San Severino combined popular apostolate with a profound life of prayer.
Biography
Orphaned as a child, he was educated by a priest uncle and entered the Friars Minor at the age of seventeen. After being ordained, he toured towns announcing the Gospel and caring for the faithful with patience. His health deteriorated until he suffered years of blindness, deafness and pain, which he lived without complaint and united with Christ. Even though physically limited, he continued to support those who came to him through advice and intercession.
Practical advice
Offer today a limitation that you cannot change and use it as an occasion to pray for someone else's need.
