Pauline of the Dying Heart of Jesus (1865–1942)

Brazil's first saint, Paulina of the Agonizing Heart of Jesus served the sick, orphans and former slaves with humble and persevering charity.
Biography
Born in Italy as Amabile Visintainer, she emigrated as a child with her family to Santa Catarina. In 1890 he welcomed a woman sick with cancer and with that gesture he started the Congregation of the Little Sisters of the Immaculate Conception. Dismissed after the government of her own work, she agreed to live many years in occult tasks without bitterness, maintaining a deep intimacy with God.
