Paulino De Nola, bishop
Bishop
(355-431) The consul Paulinus and his wife, Teresa, owned large possessions in France, Spain and southern Italy.
Biography
When they converted to Christianity (393), they renounced their property, distributing it among the poor, and retired to Nola in Campania (in Italy), where Paulinus was later elected bishop (409). He was bishop of Nola for 22 years. He liked the apostolate through letters and poetry. He was exquisitely kind and well-mannered. I hope we can imitate him in his qualities.
Practical advice
With simplicity and joy, listen patiently to a person before advising them, doing everything for the love of God.
