Biography
He was born in Holland, but in Germany he entered the Society of Jesus and spent most of his life there. Professor, preacher, catechist, writer, missionary, he fights in all fields to prevent Lutheranism from taking over Germany. He lived his last years in Freiburg, Switzerland (1521-1597).
