Biography
He was born in 1780 in the province of Nam-Dinh. At the age of twenty-five he was appointed catechist and administrator of the Bau-No parish; He visited the sick and helped the poor. He was denounced as a Christian and they accused him of being a Catholic priest, which he denied, because he was not, but he recognized that he was a missionary minister. They were not able to make him renounce his faith and manifest it with the gesture of stepping on the cross. He calmly accepted the death penalty. He was beheaded on May 25, 1857. Saint Pius X beatified him in 1909, and John Paul II canonized him in 1988.
