A Spanish Franciscan born in Valladolid, Pedro Regalado entered religious life at a very young age and followed the reform of Brother Pedro de Villacreces, aimed at recovering the poverty, silence and prayer of the Franciscan rule.
Biography
He governed the hermitages of La Aguilera and El Abrojo with humility, combining intense contemplation, penance and care for the friars. He was especially close to the sick and poor, and his fame for charity and extraordinary gifts spread throughout Castile. Without seeking to found his own work, he faithfully guarded a reform received and transmitted it by his example.
