Vietnamese martyr priest, very united in the mission, in the martyrdom and in the glorification of the Spanish Dominican José Fernández, who suffered martyrdom nine days later, on July 24.
Biography
The judge ordered him to step on the cross if he wanted to save his life, to which he responded: Certainly, I am old and weak, but the strength of God will help me suffer the torments and death itself. I do not tread the holy cross. I only wish for the time to come to offer my head and shed my blood for the Lord of heaven, whose religion is the only true one. He was beheaded on July 15, 1838 and canonized in 1987.
