Peter Vigne (1670–1740)
Missionary Founding Priest
French missionary priest, Pedro Vigne traveled through towns and villages for decades to announce Christ with special love for the Eucharist and the Passion.
Biography
Ordained in 1694, he left parish ministry to dedicate himself to popular missions, confessions and Christian formation. In Boucieu-le-Roi he established a large Stations of the Cross and founded the Congregation of the Religious of the Blessed Sacrament, dedicated to the education and service of the poor. He died while preaching a mission, after a life constantly dedicated to the path and to the people.
