She was a princess who retired to live on the island of Crowland, where her brother the hermit Guthlac was also.
Biography
Peggy hoped he would take care of her a little, but she never saw him in fifteen years. When she was about to die, Guthlac sent her the following message: "As I am going to die soon, I entrust you, beloved sister, to bury me. I want you to know that if I have refused to see you all this time, it has been to ensure that we will see each other forever in eternity. See you soon, dear Peggy!" They were soon reunited, in fact. After burying her brother, Peggy left for Rome where she died as soon as she arrived.
