An Italian religious of the Order of the Servants of Mary, Peregrino Laziosi went from youthful rebellion to a life of conversion, prayer and service.
Biography
Tradition says that, after having participated in riots against the authority of the Church, he asked for forgiveness and received the religious habit. For years he practiced such severe penance that a serious sore formed on one leg; When the doctors decided to amputate it, he prayed before a crucifix and the next day he appeared cured. For this reason it is especially invoked by those who suffer from cancer and other serious illnesses.
