Pompilio Maria Pirrotti (1710–1766)

Italian Piarist priest, Pompilio María Pirrotti educated poor young people and brought multitudes closer to God through preaching, confession and spiritual direction.
Biography
He entered the Pious Schools and fulfilled his vow to instruct youth for free in different cities. His influence among the simple people aroused slander and caused his temporary expulsion from the Kingdom of Naples, a test that he endured with obedience. Devotee of the Sacred Heart and the Virgin, he was especially sought after by the poor and the afflicted.
