Italian physician and religious, Ricardo Pampuri showed that professional competence can become an eminent form of Christian charity.
Biography
He served as a medic during the First World War and later cared for the poor inhabitants of Morimondo, visiting them at any time and providing them with medicine and material aid. He actively participated in Catholic Action and the Saint Vincent de Paul Conferences. He later entered the Hospital Order of Saint John of God, where he continued caring for the sick until tuberculosis prematurely ended his life.
