Rita Amada de Jesús (1848–1913)

Portuguese religious and defender of the Christian family, Rita Amada de Jesús lived in a time of strong hostility against the Church and religious communities.
Biography
He toured towns catechizing, accompanying women and promoting the dignity of the home according to the example of Nazareth. She founded the Institute of the Sisters of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, dedicated to the education of poor girls and the Christian formation of families. Despite persecutions and suppressions, he sustained his work with faith in the Eucharist, Mary and Saint Joseph.
