Rosa Venerini (1656–1728)

Italian educator, Rosa Venerini opened a new path for the Christian formation of women outside the cloister.
Biography
After a long discernment, she gathered young people to pray and discovered the profound lack of education that many girls and mothers suffered. In 1685 he opened a free school in Viterbo and trained teachers capable of extending the work to other cities. The Pious Venerini Teachers taught faith, reading, work and responsibility, convinced that educating a woman also transforms her family and society.
