Rosamund

Benedictine nun

Upon returning from the second crusade, Adjutorio, noble lord of Vernon, hastened to build a beautiful chapel dedicated to Saint Mary Magdalene to thank her for having returned safely to her native country.

Biography

He then became a Benedictine at Tiron Abbey, and ended his days in peaceful solitude near his chapel at Vernon. Many sick people benefited from the gifts that heaven had granted them. He died in the odor of holiness and his devotion became very popular among the Normans. Shortly after, to the cult they paid him, they added that of his mother Rosamunda de Blaru who had also left very edifying memories in the region.

Practical advice

Whenever you have the opportunity, seek to reconcile two people without increasing the conflict, remembering that holiness is built in the ordinary.
