Santiago Alberione, priest (1884–1971)
Founding priest
Italian priest and founder of the Pauline Family, Santiago Alberione understood that the new media had to be put at the service of the Gospel.
Biography
During a night of prayer at the beginning of the 20th century he felt the call to prepare apostles for the needs of his time. He founded communities of priests, men and women religious and lay people dedicated to the press, cinema, radio and other forms of communication. He promoted a spirituality centered on Jesus Master, Way, Truth and Life. He worked tirelessly, convinced that evangelization required technical competence and a profound Eucharistic life.
