Hungarian religious, journalist and martyr, Sara Salkaházi protected numerous Jews and voluntarily gave her life for her community.
Biography
Before joining the Sisters of Social Service, she was a teacher, bookbinder and writer committed to the problems of working women. During the Nazi occupation he opened homes for the persecuted; He is credited with having personally saved one hundred people. On December 27, 1944, he was able to flee when he discovered a raid, but he returned because he was responsible for the house. She was taken to the Danube, knelt, made the sign of the cross and was shot to death.
