He was chief of Diocletian's imperial guards.
Biography
He cared for his brothers, the poor and the imprisoned and brought them the Eucharist. He was sentenced to die as a soldier, that is, shot by the archers' weapons. The arrows did not kill him. After time he was sentenced to death by beating.
