Sergius (3rd century)
confessor of faith
As a young officer in the Roman army, Sergius was executed for refusing to make sacrifices to the gods.
Biography
The town of Rosafa, Syria, which contained his tomb, adopted the name Sergiopolis in his memory, and became a busy pilgrimage center. Today nothing remains of him except ruins scattered across the Syrian desert, but Saint Sergius is still very popular in the East.
Practical advice
With the desire to sanctify everyday life, offer God a small setback without dramatizing it, without leaving for tomorrow the good that you can do today.
