Biography
An American Capuchin priest, Solano Casey turned the humble job of doorman into a fruitful ministry of listening, comfort and hope. His academic difficulties caused him to be ordained with limitations in preaching and confessing, a decision that he accepted with obedience. For decades he received the poor, sick and distressed, prayed with them and promoted participation in the Mass; Many people attributed favors to his intercession. He lived with simplicity, good humor and gratitude, convinced that God could use his littleness.
