Founding religious
It is said of this saint that, repenting of having killed his innocent sister for a false accusation of indecent behavior, he dedicated himself to doing harsh penance.
Biography
He later became religious and became superior of his convent. Upon receiving a precious relic of Saint Matthew from a pilgrim friend of his, he founded a monastery in honor of the first of the evangelists. This is the origin of the monastery of Saint Matthew of Finisterre, in Conquet, France.
