At eighteen years of age, and already engaged to be married, Saint Thecla heard Saint Paul preach, renounced everything to follow him and attracted persecution from her family and the authorities.
Biography
It was highly venerated in the first centuries of Christianity, when what is now Muslim Turkey was one of the most flourishing centers of the Church. Saint Jerome alludes to Thecla as one of the Lord's chosen ones, and a long tradition tells us of her heroic virtues.
Practical advice
In the midst of your ordinary work, avoid criticism and speak with charity about someone who has hurt you and offer that effort for someone who needs help.
