Veronica Giuliani (1660–1727)
Franciscan nun
Little Úrsula, the youngest of seven sisters, attracted attention for her whims, her stubbornness and her pranks.
Biography
Nothing in her seemed to announce a future mystic. At the age of seventeen she became a Capuchin nun in a convent in the region of Umbria, Italy, and adopted the name Veronica, the mirror of Christ. He began to have visions and ecstasies, but he also had the stigmata of the Passion printed on his hands and feet. Her case was studied with the distrust that is rigor, rigorous tests were imposed on the nun, but the phenomena persisted and she maintained a serene and cheerful attitude. She was later abbess until the day she died, and governed the convent with a practical spirit, a good sense and a good humor that disconcerted those who believed that intimate union with God makes one incapable of living normally in this world.
Practical advice
When collecting your heart in silence, listen patiently to a person before advising them without leaving for tomorrow the good that you can do today.
