Vincent Frelichowski (1913–1945)
Priest
Polish priest and former scout leader, Vincent Frelichowski was arrested at the beginning of World War II and passed through several camps to Dachau.
Biography
In each place he looked for those most in need, confessed, celebrated clandestinely and organized material and spiritual help. During a typhus epidemic he voluntarily entered the sick barracks and ended up becoming infected. He died a few months before liberation. His scout training became priestly availability: being prepared to serve where suffering was greatest.
